JetBrains makes developer tools: IntelliJ IDEA and its other IDEs, TeamCity for CI/CD, Qodana code inspections and the YouTrack tracker, for software teams.
Programmers write, test and ship code in JetBrains software, and the company has built tools for that work since 2000. It employs more than 2,600 people across 15 offices, among them Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, Boston and Shanghai. Its own developers build each product with the others, and a gap they hit in daily work can become a new product. The centre of the line is its IDEs. IntelliJ IDEA is the IDE for Java and Kotlin, used as well for Spring Boot services and JavaScript and TypeScript web apps, and PyCharm, WebStorm, Rider, GoLand, PhpStorm, RubyMine and RustRover are among the editors that sit beside it. CLion is its IDE for C and C++, with dedicated support for embedded and automotive development. Rider is its cross-platform IDE for .NET and game development, with support for Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot. JetBrains also develops the Kotlin programming language with the libraries and integrations around it. Its newest products, Junie and Air among them, form its AI line. For teams, JetBrains sells TeamCity for CI/CD, Qodana for code quality inspections and YouTrack for project management, issue tracking and helpdesk work. TeamCity runs as TeamCity On-Premises on a company's own servers or as TeamCity Cloud, which JetBrains hosts. Its customers range from students and individual developers to large companies, including 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100.
