SurveyMonkey is the San Mateo company behind the SurveyMonkey survey platform, its Audience respondent panel, Wufoo and the Apply and GetFeedback products.

SurveyMonkey Inc. sells survey software and, unusually for the category, sells the people who answer the surveys as well. The core product is a browser survey builder priced per user, from a permanently free Basic plan up to team and enterprise tiers, with SurveyMonkey Audience selling panel responses on top of any plan for a per-response fee. Around it sit Wufoo for web forms, SurveyMonkey Apply for application and review programs, GetFeedback for customer experience, and LaunchPad, a set of fixed-price market research studies for concept, ad, pricing and feature testing. The company dates itself to 1999 and is headquartered in San Mateo, California. It traded as Momentive Global Inc. on Nasdaq from 2021, the private equity firm STG completed its take-private in May 2023, and the Momentive branding has since been retired: the current Terms of Use and Privacy Notice both name SurveyMonkey Inc. SurveyMonkey serves marketers testing concepts, ads or pricing without an agency, insights teams that buy panel responses study by study, customer experience and HR teams running feedback surveys, individuals on the free plan and enterprises that need single sign-on and a data center choice.
