Idera

Idera is a B2B software company whose brands span database tools, developer tools and test management tools, including the Yellowfin BI platform.

Idera makes productivity software for technical users who manage databases, build applications and test them. Idera, Inc. is the parent company, and it runs its product brands in three divisions: Database Tools, Developer Tools and Test Management Tools. Products from those brands are used by more than 50,000 customers worldwide, including some of the largest healthcare, financial services, retail and technology companies. The IDERA brand carries the database line, with SQL Diagnostic Manager, SQL Safe Backup, SQL Compliance Manager, SQL Secure, ER/Studio Data Architect, DBArtisan and Rapid SQL among its products. Those tools are built to work across on-premises, cloud and hybrid platforms, so one team can manage data wherever it lives. Yellowfin, an embedded analytics and business intelligence platform first built in 2003, has been owned by Idera since 2022 and sits in the Developer Tools division. It keeps its own site and sells to software vendors that put dashboards inside their products and to enterprise teams that run analytics for their own business. Idera announced its acquisition of Assembla on 1 November 2018, buying the source code hosting service from Scaleworks. Assembla hosts Git, Subversion and Perforce repositories for software teams, with merge requests, tickets and access controls in one account, and Idera lists it among its developer tools. Travis CI has been part of Idera since 2019, when Idera acquired Travis CI GmbH of Berlin. Its continuous integration service builds and tests code each time a change is pushed, from a configuration file kept in the repository, and its Server edition runs on a company's own infrastructure.
