Wati is a WhatsApp Business API platform for ecommerce and lead-generation teams that already get serious WhatsApp volume. It connects a business phone number to Meta's official API and puts the resulting conversations in a browser inbox that several agents share, with campaigns, chatbots and a product catalog around it. It is made by Clare.AI Limited, trading as Wati, a Hong Kong company that started the product in 2020. The shared team inbox holds WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and TikTok direct messages in one place, with round-robin chat assignment on the top tier and team and operator routing below it. WhatsApp broadcast campaigns go to opted-in lists, with retargeting by read status for the people who read but never replied, campaign analytics, carousel message templates, multi-language templates and template approval tracking. The no-code chatbot builder and WhatsApp Flows forms qualify leads and answer questions, click-to-WhatsApp ad tracking with CTWA source tags attributes the conversations an ad started, and a chat widget and wa.me links bring visitors in.
