StreamYard is a browser-based live streaming and recording studio from Bending Spoons, for creators and marketers who broadcast to several platforms at once.
StreamYard is a live streaming and recording studio that runs in a web browser, built for creators, podcasters and marketing teams who publish video to social platforms. Hosts and guests work in that studio rather than in a desktop encoder. StreamYard is a Bending Spoons product, and Bending Spoons US Inc. is the entity named on streamyard.com. Inside the studio a host combines camera feeds, a screen share and guests in a branded layout. Brand assets cover logos, overlays, text banners, scrolling tickers and backgrounds, and Video clips holds intro and outro files plus short timer and holding clips that play into the show. Multistreaming sends one broadcast to the connected destinations, and Custom RTMP reaches any other server that takes a stream key. The chat overlay gathers comments from those destinations and puts chosen ones on screen. Streams are recorded to the cloud and to a local disk, and On-Air webinars, pre-recorded streams, an extra camera input and transcripts arrive on the higher tier. StreamYard suits solo creators with a regular show, podcasters recording remote interviews, and marketing or community teams that broadcast on a schedule. Guests take part from the same browser studio as the host, which suits interviews with people who do not run streaming software themselves. The paid tiers are sold per seat for individual use, and a team that wants shared seats is quoted on the Business plans instead. Shows made here go out to YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitch, and to anything else that accepts a custom RTMP key. Recordings come back as files for editing, for a podcast feed or for posting after the broadcast. Teams use StreamYard for weekly shows, product launches, live question and answer sessions, remote interviews and internal training. It produces the broadcast rather than hosting the library, so it sits beside a video host and a social scheduler rather than replacing either.
