Roku Ads Manager is Roku's self-serve CTV advertising platform for businesses buying streaming TV ads on a pay-as-delivered CPM, with no managed contract.
Roku Ads Manager lets a business put its video ads on television screens through the streaming apps people already watch. Roku, Inc., the San Jose company behind Roku players, Roku TVs and The Roku Channel, owns and runs it at ads.roku.com. It sits beside Roku's managed advertising offerings as the self-service route. One account covers building, buying and measuring a campaign, and Roku optimizes delivery against the goal the advertiser sets. A campaign starts with an objective: Reach for awareness, or Conversion for page views, sign-ups, leads, purchases, app installs or subscriptions. Audience targeting covers demographics, location inclusions and exclusions, genre targeting and custom audiences built from website event data. Frequency capping limits how often one home sees the ads, and Forecasting estimates household audience size, reach and frequency before launch. Approved creatives rotate inside a campaign, and the Reports page breaks results out by ad account, location, creative and genre. Small and mid-size advertisers come to it for streaming TV without a managed contract. Performance marketers get the most from it, because optimization works from the events the advertiser sends back. Mobile app teams that measure through a mobile measurement partner fit well, as do Shopify merchants who connect their store through the Roku Ads app. Teams with engineers can drive campaigns through the Roku Ads API instead of the interface. Measurement starts with the Roku Pixel on the advertiser's site, which can be installed through Google Tag Manager, or with server-side events through the Conversions API. An app marketer connects AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch or Singular, and Roku claims installs as a self-attributing network. Custom audiences then let a retailer bring past site visitors back with a TV spot at home. The day-to-day job is turning a television view into a measured visit, purchase or install.
