Microsoft Advertising

Microsoft Advertising is Microsoft's pay-per-click ad platform for businesses buying search, shopping, display and video ads on Bing, MSN and partner sites.
Microsoft Advertising puts a business's ads in front of people while they search, browse and shop across Microsoft's services and a network of partner sites. It is Microsoft's own pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platform. Advertisers run it from ads.microsoft.com, with its own sign-in, help centre and developer guides. One account reaches search engines, Microsoft's consumer apps and streaming television from a single campaign workspace. Campaigns are built from five types. Search ads reach people looking for a product or service on Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and other engines in Microsoft's network, while Display carries display and native ads across Microsoft 365, MSN, Microsoft Edge, Outlook and Microsoft Casual Games. Video & CTV runs video on Microsoft properties and publisher partners, and on connected TV through services such as Netflix, Max, Hulu, Roku and discovery+. Shopping campaigns show products with average review ratings and special deals before the click, and Performance Max runs one campaign across the whole Microsoft Advertising Network. Copilot in Microsoft Advertising drafts images and text for ad assets. The platform suits advertisers who want search ads on Bing and the partner engines in Microsoft's network. Retailers with a product catalogue fit the Shopping campaigns, and brands with video can reach connected TV audiences from the same account. Agencies running campaigns for several clients, and developers who manage campaigns in code, work through its API as well as the web interface. Advertisers who write their own ads can use Copilot for first drafts of copy and images. A typical setup starts with a retailer connecting its Merchant Center store so products appear in Shopping campaigns. Website exclusion lists, applied to an account or a single campaign, keep ads off domains the advertiser does not want them on. Site owners can run it beside Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use a site, and Bing Webmaster Tools, which reports how pages rank in Bing search. A local business can also list itself in Bing Places for Business so nearby searchers find its address. The result is one place to buy attention from people who use Bing, MSN, Outlook and the screens Microsoft reaches.
