Libsyn Ads is a podcast advertising marketplace and managed ad service from Libsyn, formerly AdvertiseCast, for brands buying host-read and dynamic podcast ads.
Libsyn Ads connects brands that want to reach podcast listeners with shows that want sponsors. It began as AdvertiseCast, which Libsyn acquired in 2021 and renamed Libsyn Ads in March 2024. The contracting company is AdvertiseCast, LLC, doing business as Libsyn Ads, and it runs at advertising.libsyn.com apart from Libsyn's hosting service. Advertisers research inventory in the online ad marketplace, where each show lists host details, audience reach, social reach and demographic data. The ad units are baked-in host-read ads that stay in the episode, dynamic episodic ads inserted into new episodes, dynamic full or back catalog ads, and programmatic delivery across many podcasts. Campaigns can target named shows, a genre or category, demographics, and GEO down to city, zip, DMA or a point of interest. One campaign area shows each order's status and carries internal messaging with the show's host. Reporting covers episode information, download counts and A.I. time-stamped transcribed air checks. The service suits brands and agencies that want host reads across many shows without negotiating with each podcaster. Advertisers start by talking to the sales team, which builds a proposal around topical matches, listener demographics and airing deadlines. The internal agency team can then run the whole campaign or help with any part of it. On the other side, podcasters with an established audience apply to the marketplace, set up ad spots with the team and approve or deny each ad buy. Smaller shows are pointed to Libsyn's Auto Ads program instead. A typical campaign is a consumer brand booking host reads on true crime, comedy and faith shows, then checking each air check against its target air date. A local business can run a flight over Labor Day weekend to listeners in its own zip codes, with no worry about radio drive times. The ads play wherever the episode is heard, from Apple Podcasts and Spotify to Pocket Casts and Overcast. Publishers use the same portal to fill their last empty spots and manage each order from the advertiser's talking points to the delivery report.
