Domo is a cloud BI and dashboard platform that connects company data, builds charts and runs AI agents, owned by Progress Software since September 2026.
Domo gives a business one governed home for data that otherwise sits across cloud applications, on-premises databases and spreadsheets. Progress Software completed its acquisition of Domo's AI and data platform business on 22 September 2026, and Domo continues as a product of its own at domo.com. The platform runs in the cloud and reaches on-premises systems through a sync agent, so sensitive records can stay where they are stored. Its purpose is to connect the data, prepare it and build the AI-powered tools a team decides with. Data arrives through prebuilt connectors, Google Sheets among them, each on a refresh schedule set per source, while Domo Workbench syncs on-premises systems. Magic ETL prepares and joins datasets, and Beast Mode adds calculated fields that can build on one another. Analyzer is the chart builder, with families running from choropleth maps to the risk heat map, bump chart and facet bar chart. Dashboards support drilldown and link interactions, and Alerts flag a metric that crosses a threshold or breaks its usual pattern. AI Chat answers questions about the data in conversation, and Agent Catalyst brings custom AI agents into apps and workflows. Domo suits organizations whose data team looks after many sources while business users want to build their own views on top. Analysts get a chart builder and calculated fields in the same place the data is prepared. Department leads can set targets on a metric and follow progress with bullet charts. Managers who would rather hear when a number moves than check a dashboard each morning receive alerts by email, text or the iOS app. Teams that share figures outside the company can publish read-only content to subscribers through Domo Everywhere, where changes arrive with no refresh and the content cannot be altered. A sales operations team might join Salesforce pipeline data with a forecast kept in Google Sheets, then get an alert when bookings fall short of the goal. A data team can point Domo at a Snowflake or Databricks warehouse, or an Oracle database, and build dashboards on what is already stored there. Finance staff export a finished dashboard to Excel, PDF or PowerPoint for a board meeting, and a marketing team embeds a chart in a web page where it resizes to fit. Domo fits a company that wants its reporting, data preparation and AI agents to work from the same governed data.
