ClickSend is pay-as-you-go SMS, MMS and RCS messaging from Sinch, with a two-way inbox, drip automations and an API, sold per message with no subscription.
ClickSend is a pay-as-you-go SMS, MMS and RCS platform for sending and receiving business text messages through a web dashboard, an API or one of its SDKs, for teams that would rather pay per message than commit to a monthly plan. It has been part of the Sinch Group, the Stockholm cloud communications company, since 2022. The account is sold today for SMS, MMS and RCS; the older Voice, Email, Fax and Post channels continue for the accounts that already have them. The dashboard runs bulk SMS and MMS campaigns and RCS Rich Messaging with SMS fallback, and a shared two-way messaging inbox holds the replies. Keyword-triggered auto-replies and list opt-ins add a contact to a list or answer them when they text in, SMS drip automations run welcome and cart-abandonment sequences, and trackable short links report clicks. STOP and similar opt-out keywords are handled automatically, and toll-free and 10DLC number registration runs through ClickSend on the customer's behalf once the account supplies its business details, with dedicated short codes available for the largest senders. A Shopify integration sends abandoned-cart texts, and the SMS and MMS API and SDKs build messaging into a product. ClickSend suits developers building SMS, MMS or RCS into their own product through the API or an SDK, businesses that prefer paying per message over a monthly subscription, teams sending appointment reminders, order updates or two-way support texts, high-volume senders that qualify for tiered per-message discounts or a dedicated short code, and existing Voice, Email, Fax or Post customers keeping their current service. There is no subscription: a single per-message rate falls as the account tops up more credit, MMS is a flat rate, RCS is billed at SMS rates, numbers carry a monthly fee and a trial takes no card. The plan cards list every rate tier. In daily use ClickSend sends order and appointment confirmation texts, flash-sale and promotional broadcasts, two-way customer service conversations, Shopify abandoned-cart recovery texts, RCS verification codes and rich branded messages and keyword opt-in list-building campaigns. It sits beside the product or store that triggers the message rather than replacing it.
