Boomi

Boomi is an integration platform (iPaaS) for linking cloud and on-premises apps, with API management and master data, sold by quote or pay as you go.

Boomi connects the applications, databases and event streams a company runs, whether they sit in a public cloud or behind its own firewall. It is built by Boomi, LP, which Dell Technologies agreed to sell to Francisco Partners and TPG in a deal announced in May 2021. The Boomi Enterprise Platform puts integration, APIs, master data and AI agents under one account. Its runtime runs in the Boomi hosted cloud or on servers the customer controls. Boomi Integration builds processes on a canvas from steps such as Branch, Decision, Map, Cleanse and Try/Catch, and Process Reporting reruns failed documents once the cause is fixed. API Management adds an API Gateway with policies and a Developer Portal with plans and subscriptions. Data Hub manages master data, while Data Integration runs Source to Target flows and Logic Flows that transform data in SQL or Python. Event connectors cover Kafka and JMS brokers such as Solace, and B2B/EDI handles document exchange. Agent Control Plane and AgentStudio oversee AI agents, and Boomi Companion drafts and diagnoses processes from plain-language requests. The platform suits mid-size and large companies whose systems span cloud services and on-premises servers. Integration teams that want application, API and data work in one place take each piece as a module of the same account. SaaS companies use Boomi Embedded to white-label integrations for their own customers. Developers who need a connector the catalog lacks build one with the Boomi Connector SDK or the OpenAPI Connector Builder. A common job is keeping Salesforce, NetSuite and ServiceNow records in step with each other. Teams listen to Kafka topics so events reach those applications in real time, then publish finished processes as managed APIs for partners and internal developers. Data teams load whole schemas into Snowflake and shape them inside the warehouse with Logic Flows.
