Boomi

Boomi is a software company that sells an integration platform (iPaaS) with API management, master data and AI agent controls to mid-size and large companies.

Boomi runs from its headquarters in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and was part of Dell Technologies, which agreed to sell it to Francisco Partners and TPG in a deal announced in May 2021. The operating company is Boomi, LP. Its core product is the Boomi Enterprise Platform, sold under the Boomi name. The platform's parts are Integration, API Management, Data Hub for master data, Data Integration, Events and B2B/EDI, Boomi Embedded, Agent Control Plane, AgentStudio and Boomi Companion. Each part is a module of the same platform and account rather than a separate product with its own login. The platform is built for mid-size and large organizations whose systems span cloud services and servers they run themselves. Its runtime works in Boomi's hosted cloud or on-premises behind a customer's firewall. Software vendors are a second audience: Boomi Embedded lets them offer integrations inside their own products under their own brand. Rivery, a managed ELT and data pipeline service, is part of Boomi and keeps its own site at rivery.io. It covers data ingestion, change data capture replication, in-warehouse SQL and Python transformation, orchestration and reverse ETL for data teams. Inside the Boomi Enterprise Platform it carries the name Boomi Data Integration. Boomi's line of business is integration and automation software for companies that connect applications and data, publish APIs to partners and developers, and now govern the AI agents working across those systems.
