AdButler is an ad server for publishers and retailers running their own ad business, from display to retail media and self-serve portals, priced by ad requests.
AdButler runs the ad decisions behind websites, apps, newsletters and retail storefronts whose owners sell their own advertising space. Sparklit Networks Inc. of Victoria, Canada, has built and run it since 1999. The platform puts serving, selling and measuring ads on owned inventory into one system in place of several stitched vendors. AdButler sells the software alone and is not a DSP, an ad network or an agency, so advertiser relationships stay with the customer. Onsite serving covers sponsored products, native, display and video across web pages, apps, email, CTV and digital out-of-home screens. ProductDB turns a product catalog into sponsored and featured ads, the base of the Retail and Commerce Media offer. Targeting reads keywords, page context through Contextual Segments, location down to a city radius and daypart schedules, with frequency caps per user or per day. The Self-Serve Advertising Portal lets brands, agencies and sellers plan, buy and measure campaigns under the owner's brand, while Programmatic Supply adds header bidding and server-to-server bidding beside direct deals. Reporting includes viewability to the Media Rating Council standard and view-through conversions, and offsite activation pushes first-party audiences into DSPs and social platforms. Retailers and marketplaces building a retail media network are the main audience, followed by publishers selling direct and self-serve campaigns. Travel and commerce businesses that monetize their own audiences use it too, with ad operations staff and developers as the daily operators. A guided demo is offered to teams that want to see their own setup first. A typical retail deployment places sponsored listings on search results, category pages and product pages, then reports return on ad spend to each advertiser. Publishers connect it to Google Ad Manager and Prebid so guaranteed, preferred and auction demand compete in one yield stack. Newsletter teams serve email placements, and app teams load ads through the iOS and Android SDKs. Each of those jobs runs from one account, so a retailer's onsite listings and its offsite audience campaigns report in the same place.
