Yellow.ai is an agentic AI chatbot platform for enterprise customer and employee service, sold usage-based with a free tier and quoted Enterprise contracts.
Yellow.ai takes routine service requests off human queues by handing them to AI agents that talk, type and write. Yellow.ai, the San Mateo company that began in 2016 as Yellow Messenger, builds and runs the platform. Its current generation is called Nexus, and agents are assembled in a build surface named Harness. Each agent can resolve a request on its own or pass it to a person when it cannot. Builders write an agent's behaviour as natural language instructions, then lay multi-agent work out on a flow canvas where each node does one job. The Agentic Omnichannel Builder carries one agent across web chat, WhatsApp, SMS, email and phone. VoiceX handles spoken calls, and Intelligent Email Agents answer the inbox. A knowledge base tool lets agents answer from documents, FAQs and an indexed website. AI Copilot covers testing, debugging and optimization, while the Analyze module reports containment, resolution, topics and the sentiment of each conversation. User360 holds customer records, Campaign Management sends proactive notifications, and Nexus EDGE adds a desktop assistant for employee experience work. The platform is aimed at large enterprises running customer service or internal help desks at volume, often in several languages. Contact centre leaders who want calls and chats handled by the same agent are a clear fit. So are banks, insurers, retailers, education groups, healthcare providers and software companies, the industries its marketplace templates are written for. A team can start on a free plan billed by usage, paying per resolution once a monthly allowance runs out. Enterprise contracts, with unlimited agents, every channel and compliance controls, are quoted on request. A typical deployment answers order and account questions in a website widget and on WhatsApp, then escalates complex cases to a person with a written summary of the chat. CRM connections to Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshdesk and Zoho let those cases land where support staff already work. Voice teams put the same agent on phone lines through contact centre software such as Genesys or Amazon Connect. Inside a company, an agent in Microsoft Teams answers employee IT questions. Service managers then read sentiment trends and transcripts to see which knowledge base fixes turned negative conversations around.
