Wordvice AI is an AI writing assistant for students, researchers and non-native English writers, built by the Wordvice human editing service.
Wordvice AI checks and reworks English text so that papers, essays and reports read cleanly before they are handed in. It comes from Wordvice, whose human editing service has corrected academic and admissions writing since 2013, and language editors designed its proofreading app. The tools run in the browser on wordvice.ai behind one account, with a no-cost tier and paid plans side by side. Writers open it to fix grammar, rephrase awkward passages and confirm originality without switching between services. The AI Proofreader marks grammar, spelling, punctuation and clarity issues and offers each fix to accept or ignore, in several editing modes. The AI Paraphraser rewrites sentences in modes such as Academic, Professional Formal and Creative, and the AI Rewriter works to a chosen tone and style. A Plagiarism Checker compares a document against internet sources, the AI Detector checks whether text reads as AI-generated, and the AI Humanizer rewrites such text to sound natural. The AI Translator, the YouTube and Website Summarizers and ChatPDF help writers work from sources in other languages and formats. Citation generators format references in APA, MLA, Chicago and Vancouver styles, and the Document Editor imports and exports DOCX files. Students, researchers and business professionals are the main users, including many writers whose first language is not English. A single writer can stay on the Basic tier for short texts or subscribe to Premium for every tool and much higher word limits, billed monthly, every six months or yearly. Premium PRO adds a monthly allowance of credits that pay for proofreading by a person, which suits writers who want an editor's pass after the automated one. Groups buy several Premium subscriptions together on the Team Plan, which runs on annual terms with roles, permissions and one central bill. A typical session starts in the Document Editor, where a writer imports a DOCX draft, runs the proofreader and then rephrases flagged sentences with the paraphraser. Writers who stay in Microsoft Word use the add-in to proofread and paraphrase inside the open document, and the Chrome extension proofreads text on other websites. Before submission comes the plagiarism check, along with a reference list built in the citation generator. During research, ChatPDF and the summarizers pull the main points out of long PDFs, YouTube videos and web pages. For an academic writer, that adds up to one route from rough draft to a checked, cited paper, with human proofreading on the top plan.
