Striim is a real-time data integration and ETL platform built on change data capture, for enterprises moving data to the cloud, run managed or self-hosted.

Striim lets a company move data out of legacy databases and into cloud systems without pausing the applications that depend on it. Striim International Inc., an independent company in Palo Alto, develops and sells it. Data reaches each target continuously, so reports and services work from figures that are up to the moment. Automated pipeline wizards ask for the source schemas and tables, then build two linked applications: an initial load followed by change data capture. CDC readers cover Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL, and the connector library reaches Db2 for z/OS, SAP HANA and HPE NonStop. A Kafka connector handles event streams, while the Iceberg Writer and a Parquet connector land data in open lake formats. Schema evolution carries source changes through to supported targets, and masking functions hide sensitive fields in flight. Monitoring shows pipeline health, end-to-end latency and table-level metrics, alerts reach email, Slack or Microsoft Teams, and a REST API deploys and stops applications. The platform suits data engineering teams that must keep Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric in step with transactional systems. It also fits enterprises that run mainframe or SAP systems beside newer cloud services and need both to share data. Striim Developer is meant for learning and small projects, Striim Cloud is the fully managed service, and Striim Platform runs on a company's own servers or cloud VMs. The managed edition carries SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and PCI DSS compliance for regulated firms. Validata, an add-on, monitors, compares and verifies datasets at scale. Typical jobs include replicating an Oracle or SQL Server database into Snowflake and migrating a database to the cloud while its applications stay online. Teams building event-driven services stream table changes into Kafka topics that downstream consumers read. Lake projects use the Iceberg Writer to keep Iceberg tables in Google Cloud Storage current with the source. Striim fits the data team that needs each operational change visible in the cloud as soon as it is made.
