Spotify Ads Manager is Spotify's self-serve audio advertising platform for running audio, video and podcast ads on Spotify, bought by auction.
Spotify Ads Manager lets a business build and run its own ads for people listening to music and podcasts on Spotify. Spotify, the Stockholm streaming company, built it and serves it from its advertising site under the Spotify Advertising name. It was called Spotify Ad Studio before the rename. Measurement through Spotify Ad Analytics is a separate Spotify product. A campaign is made of ad sets, and Ads Manager helps pick the objective each one works toward. Audio ads play between songs, podcast ads are stitched into episodes through Streaming Ad Insertion, and video ads run on the same service. Automatic placement spreads an ad set across music and podcasts, and multi-format ad sets let Spotify mix formats toward the objective. Each audio spot can carry a clickable companion image with a call-to-action button. The built-in creative tool picks background music, chooses a voiceover and generates a script, so a finished spot needs no studio. Targeting is where most of the setup happens. Advertisers reach listeners by interests, genres, podcast categories and activities, and by place, down to postal code or DMA in the United States. Third-party attributes such as education, occupation and household income narrow an audience further, and fan targeting serves musicians promoting their own releases. Standard or accelerated pacing and custom frequency caps control how quickly and how often an ad reaches one person. The tool suits small and local businesses that want to run audio campaigns themselves, and advertisers who have never produced an audio spot. A shop can reach listeners in its own city, a podcast network can find listeners by category, and an artist can put a new single in front of fans. Ads follow listeners onto mobile, desktop, connected devices and the car, and reports break each ad set down by genre and platform. That makes Ads Manager the hands-on route into Spotify's audience for teams who plan, write and launch their own campaigns.
