Simple Analytics

Simple Analytics is cookieless web analytics for site owners and marketers who want traffic reports without consent banners, from an independent Dutch company.
Simple Analytics records website visits, traffic sources and events without cookies, visitor IDs or other personal data. When a visitor rejects consent, Basic Consent Mode blocks Google's tags, and that traffic drops out of GA4. Simple Analytics still records the pageview, so a site keeps an observed count of its real traffic. Simple Analytics B.V., an independent company in Amsterdam, has built it since 2018 and hosts the data on European-owned servers in the EU. The one-page dashboard shows pageviews, pages, referrers and UTM campaigns, and session starts are calculated from pageview context rather than from an identity. The Events dashboard counts custom events and goals. An automated events script picks up outbound link clicks without extra code, and form submissions can be tracked as well. A filter on a dashboard view hides referral spam, and a first-party proxy serves the script from the site's own domain so ad blockers do not drop it. The Stats API returns the aggregated numbers behind the dashboard. Weekly or monthly email reports arrive without a login, a public dashboard link can sit behind a password, and a Google Analytics import brings older data across. It is made for website owners and marketing teams who want visitor numbers without showing a cookie banner. Analysts use it as an independent baseline next to GA4, measured by a different method, to see what consent choices remove from their reports. Organisations that need analytics data kept inside the EU fit its design. Sites leaving Google Analytics can import their history first, so their reports do not start from zero. Users range from solo makers with hobby sites to teams at large organisations. In practice the script goes onto a WordPress, Django or Netlify site and runs while GA4 keeps handling audiences and conversion workflows. Analysts then pull both datasets into Google Looker Studio or Power BI and compare matching metrics side by side. Marketers read campaign and referrer traffic from the weekly email instead of opening another dashboard. Stakeholders who only need the headline numbers get the password-protected dashboard link rather than an account. Its daily job is a cookieless count of a website's traffic that does not depend on any visitor saying yes to tracking.
