SignWell is e-signature software for small businesses and developers, billed per sender rather than per document, with a REST API for embedded signing.

SignWell gets contracts, offer letters and client agreements signed online, so nobody prints, scans or posts paper to close a deal. The company of the same name has built it since its founder started it in 2019. Signed documents are legally binding under the ESIGN Act, UETA and eIDAS. Each one carries an audit trail of who signed, from where and when. The web app is organised into Documents, Templates, Bulk Sending and Contacts. A sender uploads a file, places signature, initials, text, checkbox and date fields, and sets a sending order. Conditional field rules show or require fields based on earlier answers, and Request Attachments asks signers for supporting files. Template Links publish a reusable form that anyone can open and sign, while Bulk Send mails one template to a whole CSV list. For developers, the REST API offers embedded signing, embedded requesting, white-label embedding, SDKs and webhooks, and SignWell MCP sends documents from an AI chat. SignWell suits small businesses and growing teams that send a steady flow of agreements through a handful of people. Developers use the API to put signing inside their own product without building it. Regulated teams can switch on 21 CFR Part 11 or Mexico's NOM-151 in workspace settings, with SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA covered on paid plans. It is sold per sender, not per document or signer, so a busy sender pays the same however many requests go out. New accounts begin on a free plan, and large teams or high-volume API users buy Enterprise through sales. A sales rep working a deal in Close sends the proposal and sees the signing events land on the record as notes. An office manager pulls a lease from Google Drive or Box and saves the signed copy back there. Finance teams connect it to QuickBooks Online or Xero, and Zapier links it to other apps. At a front desk, In-Person Signing hands the sender's own screen to a new hire, who completes the paperwork on the spot.
