SentinelOne Singularity
by SentinelOne • • Endpoint Protection Software
SentinelOne Singularity is endpoint protection and EDR software for security teams and MSSPs, with an on-device AI agent that keeps working offline.
SentinelOne Singularity protects laptops, servers and cloud workloads from ransomware, exploits and fileless attacks by deciding on the device itself whether code is malicious. SentinelOne, Inc., the Mountain View company publicly traded since 2021, builds and sells it as its single platform. The agent applies static and behavioral AI before and during execution. It keeps protecting when a device has no connection to the cloud. Detection starts with Storyline, which links what happens on an endpoint into one chain of events. Deep Visibility collects that activity from the agents so analysts can search for indicators of compromise across the fleet. Purple AI turns their questions into PowerQueries. Related alerts become Incidents, labelled with the MITRE ATT&CK tactics they show. In Protect mode the platform isolates a device, kills malicious processes and rolls back changes on its own, while Full Remote Shell opens a live session for forensic work. Singularity Control governs USB and Bluetooth devices and the operating system's firewall, with policies that inherit through a hierarchy. Identity Detection & Response, cloud security and AI SIEM extend the same console beyond endpoints. The platform fits security teams in organisations from startups to global enterprises, especially those running Windows, macOS and Linux side by side. Teams that cannot staff their own hunters can hand that work to SentinelOne analysts through Managed Threat Hunting or the Wayfinder MDR service. Managed security service providers use the multi-tenant console to run separate customer environments with their own policies. Larger organisations can add the Agentic AI SOC Analyst, which triages alerts automatically. Most of the time the agent blocks threats without anyone watching, and analysts open the console when an incident needs judgement. A ransomware case usually runs in two steps: Protect mode contains the device, then its Storyline shows how the attack got in. The platform connects to Active Directory, Entra ID and Okta on the identity side, and to Splunk, Jira, Netskope and Recorded Future among other tools. It suits a security team that wants one console to stop an attack on an endpoint and trace it across identities and cloud workloads.
