Sapling is an AI writing assistant and language API for support and sales teams, with grammar, rephrase and autocomplete in the browser and self-hosting.

Sapling checks and improves what people type at work, catching grammar and spelling slips, offering new phrasings and finishing sentences inside the apps where messages get written. Sapling Intelligence, Inc. builds it as one product with two sides: a writing assistant for people and teams, and language APIs for developers. The problem it targets is the quick reply that goes out with a mistake or the wrong tone, above all in conversations with customers. Writers stay in their own workspaces and messaging platforms, and the suggestions appear there in real time. The Chrome extension brings grammar suggestions to Gmail, LinkedIn, Salesforce and other supported sites, and add-ins cover Microsoft Word, Outlook and Google Docs. Autocomplete Everywhere predicts the rest of a sentence as it is typed. Rephrase rewrites a selected line in a formal, casual, confident or empathetic tone. Snippets hold reusable replies a team can share, and the AI Detector scores pasted text or uploaded PDF and DOCX files for machine-written content. Enterprise accounts add Suggest for chat assistance, conversational insights, team analytics, domain administration and support for languages besides English. Support agents, sales reps and other customer-facing staff who write many short messages are the people Sapling is built around. One person can start on the free plan or a trial of Pro, which is sold to individuals. Teams move to Enterprise, bought per seat with a minimum seat count and arranged through sales, which brings single sign-on with SCIM and a self-hosted option. Developers pay for the API by usage, metered on the characters they send, through the Edits, Rephrase, Autocomplete, Spellcheck and Statistics endpoints. A support team keeps replies in Zendesk, Freshdesk or Talkdesk clear and on tone, and pulls shared snippets into answers instead of retyping them. Sales reps check an email in Gmail or Outlook before sending and soften a line that reads too blunt. Product teams call the API to add grammar checks, autocomplete, readability grades or AI-text detection to their own editors, using the Python and JavaScript client libraries. A style guide checker tests copy against a company's own rules before it ships. Organisations with strict data rules run Sapling on their own servers through the Enterprise self-hosted option.
