The service connects to Gmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, Exchange, ActiveSync and any IMAP mailbox. The service runs on the mail server rather than inside one app, so its folders appear in whichever mail client is already open, on a desktop or in the iOS and Android apps. Mail that is not important moves to SaneLater and newsletters to SaneNews, and the Daily Digest lists what was filtered each day so nothing is lost. Dragging a sender into SaneBlackHole unsubscribes from that sender and keeps its mail out, and training a sender or a whole mailing list applies to future messages as well. SaneScreener holds mail from first-time senders in its own folder until the user approves them. SaneDoNotDisturb diverts new mail into a folder for a one-time, daily or custom break, with a keyword that lets a chosen sender through. SaneNoReplies brings a sent message back when nobody has answered by a chosen time, and Snooze, with a Custom Snooze option, sends a message away until the reader is ready for it. Email Deep Clean and Email Organize clear old messages by sender and age in bulk, and SaneAttachments moves large attachments into Dropbox. Most subscribers lean on SaneBox to clear a backlog of old mail in one pass, keep newsletters and notifications out of the inbox, chase the replies that never came, and get a large attachment into Dropbox instead of the mailbox. SaneTodo turns an email into a task in Todoist or TickTick, so the mailbox sits beside the task manager rather than replacing it.
