RingCentral is cloud call center and business phone software for teams that run inbound queues, with IVR menus, live queue dashboards and AI call recaps.

RingCentral is a cloud communications platform that runs a company's phone numbers, call queues and customer conversations from one app instead of an on-premise phone system. It is made and sold by RingCentral, Inc., which publishes it on ringcentral.com and licenses it per user. Teams reach for it when calls arrive on a shared business number and someone has to answer, route and record them properly. It runs on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, alongside desk phones and headsets. RingEX carries the phone system: call menus built in the IVR Editor, multi-level auto-attendant, call queues and ring groups, answering rules, call forwarding, call park, shared lines, call flip between devices, hot desking, visual voicemail and voicemail to email. RingCX adds the contact center, where AI Receptionist greets callers and hands them to an agent with the transcript, AVA Agent Assist coaches agents mid-call and AI Quality Management scores interactions. Live Reports shows queue and agent activity on real-time dashboards. The RingCentral AI Assistant transcribes calls and writes recaps with decisions and action items, while Business SMS, team messaging, AI Meetings, Webinar, Events and internet fax sit in the same app. The platform suits service and sales teams that want one vendor for the phone system, business texting and the contact center, and IT groups consolidating branch offices onto a single admin portal. Smaller teams tend to buy the phone system alone; larger operations add the contact center and the AI tiers as call volume grows. Industry pages address healthcare, real estate, legal, financial services and home services, where call intake and documented conversations are the daily work. It is bought per user and per month on a RingEX plan, with RingCX, AI Receptionist, Conversational Intelligence and the SMS and queue boosters added to that subscription. The recurring jobs are porting existing numbers, setting call flows by department and business hours, publishing local and toll-free numbers in new markets, and giving remote staff a business line on a personal phone. RingCentral connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, ServiceNow and Microsoft Dynamics, offers calling inside Microsoft Teams, syncs Microsoft and Google calendars, and exposes APIs for voice, SMS and MMS, team messaging, video, fax and system configuration through its developer platform and app gallery.
