It answers the question of where to go live by removing it: a creator or a communications team reaches YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and a player on its own website from a single broadcast, without a second encoder or extra upload bandwidth. Restream, Inc. has built and run the service from Austin, Texas since 2015. The platform is four products behind one login. Multistreaming routes the feed to connected accounts and to any custom RTMP or RTMPS destination. Restream Studio produces the stream in a browser, with scenes, overlays, backgrounds, a scrolling ticker, QR codes, AI background music and guests invited on screen by link. Upload & Stream broadcasts pre-recorded files as simulated live events at a set time. Clips uses AI to find the strongest moments in a finished stream and cut them into captioned vertical shorts. Unified Chat gathers comments from every destination into one window so a host can reply and put a question on screen, and Cross-Platform Analytics reports audience and channel performance in one place. Restream suits creators who go live every week, marketing and developer relations teams running product demos, media and sports organisations that stream through partner channels, churches, and public bodies broadcasting meetings to residents. Teams that want a producer working apart from the presenter get co-producer mode, workspaces and role-based access; larger organisations get single sign-on, a security review, SRT ingest and stream backup. It is bought as a subscription on one account, priced by the number of channels and the number of team seats, and Clips and Webinars are sold as add-ons to any of them. The product runs in a browser with nothing to install, and it also accepts a feed from third-party streaming software over RTMP, so an existing production setup keeps working. Broadcasts are recorded to the cloud, downloaded as split feeds, transcribed, and embedded on a customer's own site through the website player. A developer portal and a public API let teams drive channels and events from their own tools, and a Discord community and help center sit beside the product for the questions support tickets do not cover.
