Recraft is an AI image generator and design tool for designers and marketers that outputs editable vectors, sold on credit-based plans and a per-image API.

Recraft turns a written prompt or a reference picture into finished graphics, from ad creative to icons, logos and illustrations. It is aimed at a problem designers hit in most generators: lettering that comes out legible, and a brand look that holds steady across a whole series. Recraft Inc., an independent company headquartered in London, builds the product along with the image models inside it. Work happens in the browser as Recraft Studio, alongside an iOS app and a developer API that shares the Studio login. Freelancers and solo creators subscribe on one account, while studios and in-house teams share styles in a Teams workspace with central account management. Subscriptions come as a monthly allowance of credits, with top-up credits for busy months and a no-cost tier for personal experiments. Developers building customer-facing features or high-volume visual pipelines buy API units instead, paying per image or per editing request. Marketing teams use it to produce campaign visuals, stock-style images and product mockups in a consistent look. Brand designers generate icon sets and vector illustrations, then carry them into Figma or Framer through Recraft's own connections. Writers drop visuals into documents and decks with the Google Docs and Google Slides add-ons, and the Chrome extension brings generation into the browser tab.
