QCommission
by CellarStone • • Sales Commission Software
QCommission is sales commission software from CellarStone for finance teams paying tiered, split and override plans; hosted or on-premises, sold by quote.
QCommission replaces the spreadsheet a finance team rebuilds every period to work out what each salesperson, agent or partner has earned. It reads the transactions where sales are recorded, applies each payee's plan, and produces both the payout and the statement that explains it. CellarStone, Inc. of Half Moon Bay, California, develops and sells it as its flagship product. Administrators set it up in a web application, and payees log in to see their own figures. Plans are built in the web interface, where any commission can be written as an Excel-like formula and tiers follow quota attainment. A single plan holds as many commissions and bonuses as the business pays, and credit on a customer can be split across several payees. Managers earn overrides on their team's sales, while chargebacks and clawbacks take commission back on returns, credit memos and cancelled orders. The statement writer gives each payee a statement in PDF, HTML or Excel, beside a report designer. Premier brings dashboard and query designers, Issue Resolution, plan and statement approvals, Automatic Process Scheduling, audit logging and ASC 606 amortization. Enterprise adds Modeling, which estimates payouts under a plan change using past-year data. The software is meant for finance, payroll and sales operations staff who run plans with tiers, splits, residuals and manager overrides. It is set up for mortgage lenders, manufacturer rep agencies, real estate firms, consulting practices and collection agencies. Pro runs on shared SaaS hosting, Premier adds a separate database and an on-premises option, and Enterprise adds dedicated hosting and sandbox environments. Every edition is priced per payee after a consultation with CellarStone. Silver, Gold and Platinum support plans can be added for unlimited support cases and extra training. A commission period usually starts with invoices and closed deals arriving from QuickBooks, Salesforce or NetSuite, through a native integration or a flat file. The administrator runs the calculation, routes statements through approval and publishes them to payees on the web. Payees review their statements and raise a question on any line, which is tracked by case number to its resolution. Approved payouts then leave as an ADP export file or update the accounting system directly. The period closes on payouts that finance calculated once from source data and that each payee reviewed before payroll.
