Photoroom is an AI product photo editor and image generator for online sellers and marketplaces, with web and mobile apps, credit plans and a per-call API.

Photoroom turns everyday product snapshots into clean, listing-ready pictures for online stores, without a studio or a designer. Photoroom SAS, an independent company based in Paris, has built it since 2019. One account opens the web app, the mobile apps and a developer API. Background Remover isolates the item, and AI Backgrounds sets it in a generated scene. Instant Shadows grounds the cutout, and Edit with AI changes a photo from a written instruction. Create any image generates a picture from a prompt, with Style and Size settings. AI Expand extends a shot past its frame, and Image Guidance takes a reference picture to steer a background. For apparel there are AI Fashion Models with reusable Virtual Model presets, Ghost Mannequin, Flat Lay and Unwrinkle clothes, while Batch mode and Video Generator handle volume and motion. Two kinds of buyer use it. Small sellers edit their own listings, and enterprises such as marketplaces, retailers and brands process hundreds of thousands of product images a year. Self-serve tiers are subscriptions for one shared workspace, called a Space, and they differ by AI credits and exports each month. Video and the highest resolution sit on the upper tiers, while Enterprise is sold by quote with single sign-on and dedicated onboarding. Developers pay per call for the Image Editing API. A seller can photograph a new item on a phone, clear its background in the mobile app and finish the set in a browser later. Before a seasonal drop, a team can refresh Amazon listings across a catalog through Batch mode or the API with consistent backgrounds. At marketplace scale the same API edits product images for companies including Decathlon, Depop, Wolt and Mercari. Fashion sellers rely on AI Fashion Models and Ghost Mannequin to show a new collection on a model or as a hollow garment.
