NinjaOne
by NinjaOne • • Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) Software
NinjaOne is an RMM and endpoint management platform for MSPs and internal IT teams, sold per device by quote and built in Austin, Texas.
NinjaOne gives IT teams and managed service providers one console to watch, patch, secure and support the computers they look after. Monitoring, patching, remote access, backup and ticketing sit together instead of in four separate tools. NinjaOne LLC builds it from its Austin headquarters, with offices in Tampa, Berlin and Sydney. The company started in 2013 as NinjaRMM, released the platform publicly in 2015, and now sells it as the NinjaOne Unified IT Operations Platform. Devices sit inside organizations, which stand for customers or departments and carry their own policies, locations and technician permissions. Policies hold monitoring conditions such as CPU thresholds, and advanced automations run a script or action as soon as a condition fires. The Script Library and scheduled tasks handle routine work across device groups built from custom criteria. Patch Management applies OS patches by policy, and built-in packages deploy and patch common third-party applications. NinjaOne Remote opens a session from the device dashboard, while Background Mode reaches File Explorer, Registry Editor, Service Manager, PowerShell and CMD without disturbing the user. MSPs are the original audience: each client becomes an organization, so technicians work across many customers from one login. Internal IT departments use the same structure for departments and offices, and NinjaOne for Enterprise IT is aimed at large environments. A separate FedRAMP instance serves organizations that need that authorization. Technicians away from a desk can view and reset alerts and run scripts from the mobile app, which hands remote sessions to Splashtop, TeamViewer or RDP. Most days start with alerts. A CPU threshold crossed on a server can raise a ticket in NinjaOne Ticketing, or in HaloPSA, ServiceNow or Freshservice, and an automation may clear the cause before anyone opens it. Patch windows run on schedules per organization, and scheduled reports then show each client its patching and device health. Security work runs through the SentinelOne and CrowdStrike integrations, which install agents from the console and report their status on NinjaOne dashboards. Warranty Tracking, hardware inventory and backup alerts let a technician answer a client's question about any machine, from its warranty date to its last backup, without leaving the console.
