NetSuite is Oracle's cloud ERP suite, running accounting, inventory, orders and supply chain in one account for growing mid-sized companies.
NetSuite puts an order, the stock it draws down, the invoice it raises and the ledger entry it posts on one record in one database. It suits businesses that have outgrown separate bookkeeping, stock and billing tools and spend every month end reconciling them against each other. Oracle owns it: Oracle America, Inc. publishes the mobile app, and the suite is documented in Oracle's own help centre beside its other cloud applications. The accounting side covers General Accounting, Banking, Revenue and Expense Recognition, Fixed Assets Management, Multi-Book Accounting and Financial Statements, with Taxation and country-specific features behind local filings. Order Management handles the sales side. The supply chain side carries Item Record Management, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management and the Vendors, Purchasing and Receiving flow. Employee Management holds staff records and payroll, while Marketing, Sales Force Automation and Partners keeps leads and opportunities on the same records as the invoices. SuiteAnalytics reports across all of it, and the SuiteCloud Platform adds custom fields, records and logic through SuiteFlow and SuiteScript. NetSuite is built for growing mid-sized companies, wholesale distributors, manufacturers and service firms whose finance team has stopped trusting the spreadsheets between their systems. It speaks to controllers, operations managers and the owners above them rather than to a single bookkeeper. Putting it in is a project, so it suits teams that can give it months and usually a partner. It is bought as a subscription quoted by NetSuite sales rather than from a published rate card. Day to day the suite is where an order becomes a fulfillment and then an invoice without anyone leaving the record. Controllers close the period in the same ledger that holds the stock counts, run depreciation on the fixed asset register and pull the statutory formats for each country they file in. Managers clear pending approvals and staff send expense reports from a receipt photo through NetSuite for Mobile, where Ask Oracle answers questions about records inside the app. Teams reach the tools they already run through SuiteApps, the marketplace Oracle publishes alongside the suite.
