Netdata is infrastructure monitoring software with per-second metrics, an open-source agent and a cloud or on-premises console, sold per node to ops teams.

Netdata collects every metric from a machine once a second and turns it into dashboards and alerts with no configuration step. Netdata, Inc., the independent company Costa Tsaousis founded, develops both the software and the service. The open-source Netdata Agent runs on each server and keeps the data where it was collected. Netdata Cloud joins every agent into one view, as a hosted service or installed on the customer's own premises. The Agent runs natively on Linux, Windows, macOS and FreeBSD and takes in Prometheus, OpenMetrics, StatsD and OpenTelemetry data beside its own collectors. Every metric gets its own unsupervised models, and an anomaly is raised only when a consensus of them agrees. Netdata AI investigates incidents and writes reports. In Netdata Cloud, ready-made dashboards for databases, web servers and message brokers sit beside drag-and-drop custom ones. Alert notifications reach PagerDuty, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, email or a webhook. SRE, DevOps and platform teams that need per-second visibility across servers, Kubernetes clusters and network devices are the core users. Kubernetes operators get control plane, node and pod views that surface restarts, OOMKilled events and probe failures. Estates that mix physical servers, virtual machines and cloud instances run the same agent everywhere. Sites that must stay air-gapped run Netdata Cloud On-Prem inside their own Kubernetes cluster with no external connection. Home users and students running a home lab are served as well. When an alert fires, an engineer opens the affected node's per-second charts and can ask AI Chat what changed before the incident. Teams with Prometheus exporters in place keep them, because the agent scrapes them directly. Owners of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or NGINX get dashboards and preconfigured alerts for those services out of the box. The fit is strongest for operators who want second-level detail and prefer their monitoring data kept on machines they already run.
