GoodData is a business intelligence and embedded analytics platform for building dashboards, AI assistants and agents into products, cloud or self-hosted.

GoodData gives a business one governed layer of meaning that every report, data app, copilot and autonomous agent draws on. That layer is the Agentic Serving Plane: metrics, entities and permissions are defined once and reused everywhere. GoodData Corporation, founded in 2007 and based in San Francisco, builds the platform. It runs as a managed service or self-hosted, in a customer's own cloud, on premises or air-gapped. Analysts build charts and dashboards in a drag-and-drop editor with live previews. Viewers click any data point to cross-filter the whole dashboard. The logical data model maps the database once, so facts, attributes and metrics serve many visualizations. Queries run live against Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks and other databases instead of imported copies. The AI Assistant answers questions in natural language and generates charts, while Key Driver Analysis, Anomaly Detection and Rankings and Trend Insights surface what moved. Agent Builder creates custom agents, and Scheduled Exports email a dashboard with the file attached on a set timetable. Software companies that put analytics inside their own product are the core audience, because full embedding, multi-tenancy and custom branding come built in. Developers work through the Python SDK, the React SDK and open interfaces such as SQL, MCP and A2A. Data teams that need a single definition of each metric across dashboards and AI agents gain one governed model with role-based controls. Organisations bound by data residency or regulatory rules can choose the self-hosted edition, which shares its codebase with GoodData Cloud. Small and medium companies and large enterprises are both served. A rollout starts with one process that costs a team time. The team models its business, ships that use case to production, and lets the next one inherit the same model and governance. Migration agents translate existing Power BI, Tableau or Looker content, so a move away from those tools does not start from a blank workspace. Apache Iceberg zero-copy keeps one shared copy of the data for GoodData and the other engines a team already runs. Each new report, assistant or agent then works on that data with the approvals and traces the team has set.
