DocuSeal is open source e-signature software for individuals, businesses and developers, used in its cloud or self-hosted, with per-document API pricing.

DocuSeal turns a PDF, Word file or spreadsheet into a document that several people can fill in and sign online. DocuSeal, LLC develops it and publishes the source code on GitHub under the AGPL license. The same software runs on the company's cloud or on a server the customer controls. Signatures are legally binding under the U.S. ESIGN Act, UETA and the EU eIDAS regulation. In the template editor, senders drag signature, date, checkbox, stamp and payment fields onto a page and assign each one to a signer. A finished template goes out by email or SMS, sits behind a public signing link, or opens for in-person signing on a tablet. Signers follow a set order or sign at the same time, and conditional fields appear only when an earlier answer calls for them. Bulk send builds one document per recipient from an XLSX or CSV file, and every completed document keeps an audit trail of timestamps and IP addresses. Identity checks range from an SMS code to knowledge-based authentication and ID cards, while docuseal.eu adds qualified electronic signatures. DocuSeal suits individuals who sign a few documents a month and small businesses that send branded requests to clients. It also fits developers who need signing inside their own product. Organizations that keep documents on their own infrastructure can host it themselves, from the open source code or through the On-premises edition with Pro features. The cloud service is sold per user, with a no-cost Basic plan and a Pro plan that adds branding, reminders, bulk send, payments and single sign-on. API and Embedding is billed by usage on top of Pro, charging for each document signed in production, while Sandbox testing is unlimited. Teams send contracts from saved templates and collect completed forms from clients without printing anything. Software companies embed the signing form in React, Vue or Angular apps, so customers sign during onboarding without leaving the product. Field staff hand a tablet to a customer for in-person signing, and a Stripe payment field takes the payment in the same step. When a document is completed, webhooks or a Zapier automation pass its data to whichever system acts on it next.
