CodeRabbit is an AI code review tool for engineering teams on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps, with a no-charge tier for open source projects.

CodeRabbit gives every pull request a first review before a person reads it, posting a summary of the change and inline comments with suggested fixes as soon as it opens. The human reviewer then starts from a change that has already had one pass. CodeRabbit, Inc., independent since its founding in 2023, owns and sells it, and the FluxNinja team joined the company on 2024-03-17. The review is agentic. CodeRabbit posts findings on the lines of code and groups the pull request summary into new features, bug fixes and documentation updates. Some of its suggestions can be committed straight to the branch. Triage is one cross-repository queue of open pull requests, ranked by what each change needs, and it can request a reviewer over Slack. Change Stack carries a review into a Slack or Discord thread, where a reviewer can reply, resolve or reopen it on GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Custom Checks take a team's policies as natural language instructions. Linters and SAST tools feed their findings into the review, and CI/CD pipeline analysis explains a failed run on the pull request. A dashboard reports Time to Merge and Time to First Human Review. The Team plan adds Triage, multi-repo analysis, custom checks and post-merge actions; Advanced adds blast radius, architectural impact analysis, a security review of pull requests and continuous security monitoring. CodeRabbit is built for teams that want each pull request reviewed before a person reads it, and for teams reviewing code that coding agents wrote. Open source maintainers get the Team feature set on their projects without a paid subscription. Enterprises that need custom RBAC, SSO, an EU SaaS deployment or a review agent running inside their own infrastructure are served by the Enterprise plan. It is sold per developer on monthly or annual billing, and each paid plan opens with a trial. In daily use CodeRabbit sits inside the pull request on the git host, where its summary and comments appear beside the human review. It pulls Jira and Linear issue context into a review, posts to Slack and Discord, and reviews uncommitted local changes from the VS Code extension and the CLI. Autofix and Fix CI open pull requests that carry their own fixes. Two metered products sit beside it: CodeRabbit Agent runs coding tasks in the cloud and works from Slack, and CodeRabbit Security Scan traces data flow across a codebase to find exploitable vulnerabilities.
