CodeAnt AI is an AI code review and code security platform for teams on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps, sold per seat for each module.
CodeAnt AI puts an AI reviewer on every pull request and checks the same change for security flaws and quality problems before it merges. CodeAnt AI, Inc. builds it in San Francisco. Amartya and Chinmay started the company in June 2023, it went through Y Combinator, and it has no parent owner. The platform is one account with five parts: AI Code Review, Code Security, Code Quality, Dev Metrics and AI Pentesting. AI Code Review posts inline comments on changed lines and writes the pull request description. An author can commit a suggested fix straight from the comment. Review instructions set in the dashboard can be overridden per repository, and Auto Approve PR approves a change once its threads are resolved. Code Security runs AI SAST, secret scanning, software composition analysis and SBOM output, plus infrastructure as code checks for Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes and Helm. Code Quality adds quality gates, test coverage uploads, dead and duplicate code detection, complexity analysis and custom rules written in plain English. Dev Metrics summarises developer work across repositories, and AI Pentesting simulates exploits and maps attack paths against the OWASP Top 10. The platform suits engineering teams on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps, including self-hosted GitLab and Bitbucket Data Center. Developers get review comments and fixes inside the pull request they already work in. Security leads see secrets, dependency risks and infrastructure misconfigurations in one place. Engineering leaders follow the Code Health Dashboard and the executive reports. Teams that must keep source code inside their own network can deploy it on-prem or in a VPC. Most of the work happens on the pull request itself. The AI comments arrive before a teammate opens the diff, and a failing quality gate stops the CI pipeline until new findings are fixed. Leaked keys and tokens are flagged in the same pass. Existing findings are tracked separately as debt, so only issues a change introduces block its merge. CodeAnt AI fits teams that want every change reviewed, scanned and measured before it reaches the main branch.
