Civitai is an AI image generator and model-sharing community for Stable Diffusion and Flux users, with LoRA training and Buzz credits on memberships.

Civitai gives people who work with open image models one place to find a model, try it and share what it makes. Civit AI, Inc. runs the service at civitai.com under the Civitai name. Members upload models, LoRAs and embeddings, and the Models, Images, Videos, 3D Models and Articles sections hold what the community publishes. A built-in generator runs those same resources in the browser, so a model found on the site can be tested on the spot. The on-site image generator takes a prompt and a negative prompt, then adds LoRA and embedding resources to steer the style. A finished picture can go back through the image-to-image workflow or through the upscaler for more detail. SDXL models offer square, landscape and portrait sizes. The LoRA trainer builds a model from a member's own image dataset, and trained or uploaded models can stay private or go public. Civitai Link syncs chosen resources to a member's own machine. Model creators come second: the Creator Program lets them set a licensing fee or paid access on their model versions. A typical session starts on a model page, moves to a few test prompts in the generator and ends with the best results posted back to the community. Artists who generate on their own hardware pull the resources they pick onto that machine through Civitai Link. Developers reach the same engine through the orchestration API, which runs generation, upscaling, background removal and training from outside code with a seed parameter for repeatable results. App builders also connect through OAuth or MCP servers when their own product needs pictures from community models. For creators, the recurring job is training a LoRA on a style or subject, publishing it and charging for access to each new version.
