Chatbase is an AI chatbot platform for support and sales teams that trains agents on their own content, with plans metered in monthly message credits.
Chatbase turns a business's uploaded files, crawled pages and past tickets into an AI agent that replies to its customers. Chatbase Inc. of San Francisco has developed it since 2023, under founder and chief executive Yasser Elsaid. The agent takes repeat questions off a support queue. Conversations it cannot settle go to a person, along with the context of the chat. Each agent learns from Data sources, which cover files, websites, plain text, Q&A pairs, Notion pages and support tickets. Actions let it do work during a conversation. Collect Leads gathers contact and qualifying details, and Chatbase Live Chat moves a chat into the built-in Helpdesk. Procedures are multi-step workflows with if and else branches, and ready-made templates cover order returns, subscription cancellations and billing disputes. Channels place the agent in a chat bubble on a website or on a phone line over Twilio or a SIP trunk. Activity and Analytics then report volume, topics, resolution rate and customer sentiment. Chatbase is built for small and mid-size businesses that want an AI support agent live without writing code. Support teams that prefer tickets and automation in one workspace get the Helpdesk from the Standard plan upward. Developers can skip the widget and drive conversations through the REST API. Buyers subscribe per workspace, monthly or yearly, and pick a plan by the message credits it includes, adding credits, agents or branding removal as needed. Organisations that require single sign-on, custom roles or white-labeling buy the Enterprise plan through sales. A typical deployment begins on a store or help center, where the agent settles order and account questions before a ticket is ever opened. When a person has to step in, a Zendesk team receives the full transcript, and teams on Freshdesk or Intercom get an AI summary in their own queue. Sales staff route captured leads through Zapier or a webhook into the CRM they already keep. Phone desks run the same trained agent on incoming calls, so one knowledge base answers customers in chat and by voice.
