Buddy is a CI/CD platform from Warsaw's Buddy Works for teams building pipelines in a visual editor or YAML, with usage-based billing and AI agent sandboxes.
Buddy turns a Git push into a tested, deployed release, and its workspaces now also host sandboxes and environments for web apps and AI coding agents. Buddy Works, founded in 2015 and registered in Warsaw as BDY PSA, builds it and is independent. Pipelines are built in a visual editor or written as a buddy.yml file in the repository, and the two stay in sync. Runs start on a Git push, a new tag or branch, a GitHub pull request, or a cron schedule, and trigger conditions decide which changes count. Actions run in parallel, and a pipeline loop fans one pipeline out like a matrix. Builds run on hosted Linux, macOS and Windows virtual machines, or on in-house machines registered with the bdy agent. The filesystem cache and the Docker layer cache keep dependencies between runs. The Approve Run action holds a deployment until a named person confirms it, and Environments set who may deploy where. Encrypted variables are hashed in action logs, OIDC connects pipelines to AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and unit test results flag tests whose status keeps flipping. The product suits solo developers and small teams who want delivery automation without maintaining a CI server of their own. It also fits app teams that need Mac machines for iOS builds and Windows machines for desktop software. Companies that sign staff in through SAML or OIDC single sign-on can also set advanced permissions. Teams that let agents such as Claude, Cursor or Codex write code give each one a Buddy Sandbox to work in. A common job begins with a pull request on GitHub, where Buddy runs the test suite and reports the result back before anyone merges. The same pipeline then builds a Docker image, publishes an artifact version and waits at an approval step before shipping to AWS or Google Cloud. Remote YAML templates let a platform engineer change that setup once for every project in the workspace. Pipelines also run from repositories on GitLab or Bitbucket, and a nightly cron pipeline can rebuild and retest everything while the team is offline. For a team that wants one place to build, test, deploy and sandbox its code, Buddy is the workspace that does all four.
