Botpress is an AI agent builder for support teams and developers: a visual Studio, a TypeScript ADK and usage pricing by conversation.
Botpress gives a support team AI agents that finish customer requests, such as a refund or an account update, instead of passing them to a person. Technologies Botpress Inc., an independent Canadian company, owns and develops it. The platform runs as a managed cloud service. Agents built on it work in a website chat, in WhatsApp and inside a help desk. Botpress Studio is the visual builder, where workflows are assembled by dragging nodes onto a canvas. Its Autonomous Nodes can each call a different language model. Botpress Viber takes another route: a team describes the agent it wants in conversation, and Viber builds it. Knowledge Bases pull in documents, websites and Botpress Tables, so answers come from a company's own content. Botpress Desk handles tickets and human review, while the Botpress ADK lets developers write agents, tools, workflows and evals in TypeScript. Support teams that want routine requests closed without an agent queue are the main buyers. Developers who prefer code, with a visual editor beside it, are the second group. A small team can start on the free plan and pay once volume grows, since paid plans are billed per workspace by the conversations handled. Each paid plan includes a set amount of AI usage, and extra conversations come in packs. Larger operations that need many seats, routing and role-based access take the Team plan, and enterprises buy by quote. A team connects a Knowledge Base to its help center content and places the webchat on its website. The agent then takes on refunds, subscription changes, lead qualification and product recommendations. Integrations with Salesforce, Stripe and Zendesk let it complete that work in the systems a team already keeps its records in. Trigger nodes and a webhook let an outside event start a conversation, and traces show each step afterwards. Requests that need judgement move to a person in Botpress Desk, who picks up the conversation where the agent stopped.
