Bitrise is a CI/CD platform built for mobile apps, running iOS and Android builds, tests and store releases on managed macOS and Linux machines.

Bitrise turns each commit or pull request in a mobile repository into a tested, signed build ready for the App Store or Google Play. It manages the macOS and Linux build machines itself, and teams can add their own machines as runners. Build configuration lives in a bitrise.yml file kept in the repository or edited online. Launched in 2014, it is owned and run by the independent Budapest-based company of the same name. Bitrise CI runs Workflows assembled from ready-made Steps in the Workflow Editor. Pipelines run several Workflows in parallel, so a long test suite can be split across machines. Builds start on a push, a pull request, a schedule or a GitHub merge queue. Secrets stay encrypted and out of build logs, OIDC signs builds in to AWS or Google Cloud, and flaky tests are flagged in the test report. Build Cache adds a remote cache for Xcode, Gradle and Bazel, while Release Management walks each version through an approvals stage to the stores. CodePush ships over-the-air updates, and Build Hub supplies macOS and Linux runners for GitHub Actions jobs. Bitrise is built for mobile teams shipping native iOS and Android apps, and for teams building with React Native or Flutter. Indie developers and small teams use it to get a first pipeline running. Growing teams share concurrent build capacity and role-based access across many apps. Mobile engineering organisations with stricter needs connect their own machines through the Bitrise agent or run builds on dedicated environments. Teams already on GitHub Actions can keep their workflows and send the mobile jobs to Build Hub runners. A pull request opened on GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket starts the test suite, and device tests can run on Firebase Test Lab or Sauce Labs. Release managers collect sign-off in the approvals stage before a version reaches App Store Connect or Google Play. Nightly schedules catch regressions on days with no code changes, and Insights shows which Workflows are slowing down or failing more often. A developer who needs a Mac for a debugging session starts one in Remote Dev Environments and archives it afterwards. When a live app needs a quick fix, CodePush sends the update to the copies already installed.
