BetterCloud is a SaaS management platform, owned by CoreStack, for IT teams that automate onboarding and offboarding, find shadow IT and reclaim idle licenses.
BetterCloud gives IT teams one place to see every SaaS application the company uses, control who can reach it and remove the seats nobody touches. It is part of CoreStack, which announced its acquisition of BetterCloud on 31 March 2026 and now governs cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications and AI systems together. The platform is organized in modules. User Automation runs onboarding and offboarding through a no-code workflow builder with conditional logic, scheduling and a self-service agent for routine IT requests. Spend Optimization finds sanctioned and unsanctioned apps through single sign-on, a Chrome extension and ERP data, then shows license usage by person, app and department. It also reclaims idle licenses with manager approval, alerts on renewals, flags overlapping tools and gathers employee opinions on a Sentiment Grid. BetterRenewal compares an uploaded contract with a database of software deals, and AI Governance extends discovery to AI tools. Workspace Management for Google and File Governance handle bulk user changes, email signatures and file sharing in Shared Drives and My Drives. BetterCloud is built for lean IT departments that want manual, repetitive account work done by workflows. Finance and IT teams use it together to cut license waste and consolidate tools. Google Workspace administrators get granular controls and lifecycle automation, and security teams use it to see which apps and AI tools employees adopted on their own. Companies that have just acquired another business use it to bring two SaaS estates into one view. When an employee leaves, one workflow removes their access to Slack, Zoom, Salesforce and Google Workspace instead of a ticket per app. Before a contract renews, usage data shows who still works in a tool and which seats can go back. BetterCloud reads users and roles from each application's admin API and app assignments from Okta, Entra ID or OneLogin, so the identity provider stays the record of who works there. The job it does is keeping every SaaS account in step with the people who need it.
