Auvik is cloud-based network monitoring and management software for IT teams and MSPs, with a local collector at each site syncing to its cloud console.
Auvik discovers the devices on a business network, draws how they connect and watches them for faults. Auvik Networks Inc., a Waterloo company founded in 2011, builds and runs the service. A local collector installed inside each network gathers device data and syncs it securely with the Auvik cloud. The maps, alerts and configuration history all sit in that cloud account. Network mapping is where most of the work starts. Auvik finds devices through SNMP, CDP, LLDP, ARP, forwarding tables, VLAN data and routing tables. It then plots the physical, data link and network layers on one map that updates as the network changes. Configuration management checks devices for changes, keeps backups and shows a diff of what moved, with an alert when a change lands. Network traffic analysis reads NetFlow, sFlow, J-Flow and IPFIX to name the top talkers, and the alerting flags interface failures and VPN saturation against thresholds administrators can tune. The service is built for IT teams that run networks across several offices or branches and want the map drawn for them. Each site gets its own collector, and every collector reports to the same account. Managed service providers are the other core audience. A multi-client dashboard lets a provider set technician roles once at the top level and apply them to every client. A Tenants API exposes that client structure to the provider's own tools. During an outage, the map shows where a failing interface sits, and the configuration diff shows whether a recent change caused it. The live map also serves as network documentation that stays current without anyone redrawing it. When a link slows down, flow data names the hosts using the bandwidth. Report templates such as All Interfaces by Utilization export to Excel and Power BI for client and management reviews. Through webhooks and APIs for statistics and alert history, the same data reaches the other tools a team runs, so an MSP answers for every client network from one console.
