Aerospike is a distributed NoSQL database for real-time, high-throughput apps, run open source, self-managed as Enterprise or as a managed cloud service.

Aerospike stores and serves the data behind applications that must respond in milliseconds under heavy read and write traffic. Aerospike, Inc., headquartered in Mountain View, California, builds and sells it. Its patented Hybrid Memory Architecture aims for memory-like latency with the durability and lower cost of SSDs. Data can also live fully in memory, on all-flash storage or on network block storage, so each workload can trade speed against cost. Records sit in namespaces and sets with no fixed schema, and nested maps and lists are reached through path expressions and secondary indexes. The cluster partitions data across nodes on its own and rebalances it as nodes come and go. Cross Datacenter Replication (XDR) copies data between clusters and regions, including active-active setups that resolve conflicting writes. Strong consistency mode and multi-record transactions protect workloads that cannot lose a write, while a per-record time to live clears expired data. Stream UDFs written in Lua aggregate results on the server, and Aerospike Graph adds graph traversal on the engine that serves key-value and document access. Its buyers are engineering and platform teams running systems that must decide the moment a request arrives. Fraud scoring, ad targeting, personalization, dynamic pricing and serving data to AI models are the workloads it is built around. Financial services, telecom, retail and ad tech are among the industries it serves. Developers can learn on the self-hosted Community Edition, which is open source under the AGPLv3 licence. Teams that need replication, strong consistency or role-based access move to the Enterprise Edition, or hand operations to Aerospike Cloud, a fully managed service Aerospike operates and peers privately to the customer's VPC. Aerospike often runs as a system of record or a resilient cache directly behind customer-facing services. It holds sessions, user profiles and the identity data ad tech teams use for cookieless targeting and attribution. Aerospike Connect streams changes into Kafka or Pulsar for downstream analytics, and lets Spark and Trino query the same operational data. Platform teams deploy clusters with the Aerospike Kubernetes Operator and watch them through the Aerospike Exporter in Prometheus and Grafana. It fits systems where a slow or missing read costs a sale, a fraud verdict or a personalized offer.
