AdGlare is a SaaS ad server that publishers, ad networks and agencies use to traffic direct display, native, video and CTV campaigns; it is not an SSP or DSP.
AdGlare puts direct-sold campaigns onto a publisher's pages and players and counts every impression, click and conversion they produce. It comes from an independent ad-serving company, also called AdGlare, that started in 2013. It works on the serving side only, so it is not a supply-side platform, a demand-side platform or an ad exchange. Display, native, video, connected TV and white label serving are parts of one platform, run from one account. Campaigns carry flight dates, booked quantities, weights and priorities, and a frequency cap limits how often one visitor sees each one. Targeting covers country, region and city, browser and device, dayparting, keywords, domains and custom key/value pairs. The Display Ad Server hosts HTML5 rich media and checks each creative for JavaScript errors, missing clickTags and size mismatches. The Video Ad Server generates VAST tags for web players, the CTV Ad Server carries video to connected TV, and the Native Ad Server returns ads as JSON. Conversion tracking, tracking pixels, bot filters and Data Shipping of row-level event logs complete the reporting side. AdGlare suits publishers that sell placements directly and ad networks that traffic campaigns across member sites. Agencies and advertisers use it as a third-party ad server that stays independent of the media they buy. Networks that resell serving under their own name run it on a white label domain. Developers who render ads in an app or another custom surface call the Ad Decision API instead of a tag. Access control runs through two-factor authentication, single sign-on, workspaces, audit trails and campaign approvals. An ad operations team books a campaign, uploads the creatives, sets the targeting and pastes asynchronous ad tags into the publisher's pages. Lazy loading then holds each display ad until its slot nears the viewport, so the page renders first. Video teams paste the VAST tag into their player, and advertisers append the conversion token to their landing page URLs. Conversions then appear in the same reports as impressions and clicks. When analysts need more than the dashboard, Data Shipping exports row-level event logs as a zipped CSV that they load into Google BigQuery.
