Which Should You Choose?

Choose Nosto if you run a large catalog and want site search and page content tailored to each shopper from the first visit. Choose Rebuy if you run a Shopify brand and want to raise order value with tests you build without code. Nosto is sold by quote after a demo. Rebuy offers a free plan, paid monthly plans, and higher plans sold by quote.

Large catalogs are too big for a merchandiser to sort by hand for every visitor. Nosto ranks site search results by each shopper's affinities, so a returning visitor finds what they browse. It also personalizes the first visit of an anonymous shopper, before any login exists. Content can vary by the visitor's location or the local weather. Nosto's limit is that it relies on a native connector to supply catalog and behavioral data.

A Shopify brand without a developer still wants to test storefront changes. Rebuy provides a no-code visual editor that edits a personalization on the live page. It also measures revenue per visitor for each personalization against its control. Partner brands' offers can also appear on the thank-you page, and the store is paid for each transaction. Rebuy's limit is that it serves merchants who run Shopify or Shopify Plus.

Nosto describes a family-owned apparel and footwear retailer that runs an online store in several languages. The retailer used product recommendations and personalized emails, and shoppers who engaged with them converted and spent more than shoppers who did not. Rebuy tells of a vitamin and supplements brand that wanted more subscriptions. The brand used cross-sells and bundles, and the vendor reports higher average order value and subscription revenue.
