openPR is a press release distribution portal run by German publisher Einbock GmbH, with editorial review, Google News delivery and free submission.
openPR is a press release distribution portal for companies that want their news published, indexed and picked up without hiring an agency. The portal has published press releases since 2004 and is run by Einbock GmbH, a publisher in Hannover, Germany, which states on the portal itself that openPR is one of its platforms. Releases appear in German on openPR.de and in English on openPR.com under one account and one editorial team. Every submission is read by the openPR newsroom before it goes live. Authors submit a release through a web form, add images, choose a subject category and wait for the newsroom to check it. Reach is bought on top: openPR Premium highlights a release and sends it to journalists and trade editors, the Top50 Online-Presseverteiler forwards it to further German press portals and returns a Versand-Report, and releases are submitted to Google News. A Pressefach gives a company its own newsroom page inside the archive, and Media Monitoring watches search profiles for coverage. The KI-Tools add a Pressemitteilung Generator, a KI-Bildgenerator, a KI-Übersetzer, a KI-Video-Generator and a KI-Themenfinder, while the Schlussredaktion service has a journalist proofread a text before it is filed. openPR suits small and mid sized companies, founders and in house marketing teams in German speaking markets, particularly those with news to publish several times a year rather than once. PR agencies file for several clients, each with its own Pressefach, and SEO teams use it for an indexed release page that carries links. Journalists, editors and readers use the portal at no cost. It is bought either per release, as credits on openPR.com, or as a yearly tariff on openPR.de, and the plan cards list every tier. Typical jobs are a product launch, a funding or hiring announcement, an event notice or a study a company wants on the record. Releases stay in the openPR archive at a fixed address, so a later search for the company name keeps finding them, and category RSS feeds and a daily newsletter carry them to subscribers. Teams run openPR beside their own newsroom and beside a wire service when a story needs international placement, and beside connektar, the sister portal Einbock runs for automated distribution. English news goes to openPR.com, which the German tariffs include as international distribution.
